FORMAS DEL RELIEVE COSTERO

la siguiente imagen de un paisaje costero, te indicará el nombre de
cada forma
del relieve (lo puedes hacer también en inglés). Realiza los ejercicios
siguientes.
1. Observa la imagen superior y
define en tu cuaderno cada una de las formas del relieve que están
representadas.
2. Lee las definiciones siguientes
en inglés y únelas a su correspondiente concepto en español.
Archipelago: A
group of islands.
Delta:
An area of land where a river has split into several smaller rivers
before entering the sea.
Bay:
A part of the sea or a lake partly surrounded by a wide curve of the
land.
Gulf:
A large area of sea that is partly surrounded by land.
Peninsula:
An area of land that is almost surrounded by water but is joined to a
larger piece of land.
Isthmus:
A narrow strip of land with water on each side, that joins two larger
pieces of land.
Estuary:
That area of a river mouth which is affected by sea tides.
Cliff: A
high area of rock with a very steep side, often at the edge of the sea
or ocean.
Cape:
A pice of high land that sticks out into the sea.
Beach:
An area of sand or small stones beside the sea or a lake.
Lagoon:
A lake of salt water that is separated from the sea by a reef or an
area of rock or sand. |
